Popular Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji, has recently been awarded a Doctorate degree from a foreign university in recognition of his outstanding talent and remarkable accomplishments in the film industry.
The actor, took to his Instagram page to notify his friends and fans of the new feather added to his cap.
In a video the actor dropped on his page, he was seen adorned with the academic robe as the award was formerly conferred on him.
He wrote: “I was moved to tears as I got adorned in this beautiful robe. I have never been interested in fame, I just wanted to be happy with my craft and the lives that I inspire.
“Ladies and gentlemen, today, I have a new title, one I couldn’t have imagined would come without me facing invigilators and keeping late nights to study…
“The irony is really interesting. I burn midnight candles to master my lines and perfect my expressions, now I’m getting rewarded with what could have been if I did it for classroom reasons.
“I humbly reintroduce myself, I AM DR. ABDULLATEEF ADEDIMEJI ADETOLA, Doctor of Philosophy in Art and Culture from Estam University, Benin.”

The actor’s wife, Mo Bimpe, also celebrated Lateef on her page, expressing how proud he has made her on his new accomplishment.
“I am proud of the man that you are, the husband of my youth and old age, the one that keeps motivating me to do more. Thank you for always making momma proud and I’m sure there’s more to come.” She wrote.
