It has just been gathered that the ex-Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of the University of Ibadan, Professor Adigun Agbaje, who was kidnapped along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway on Friday, has been released.
This update was made available to ‘Tribune Online’ by the Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Ibadan on the status of the abducted Prof. He said, Professor Agbaje was released a few hours ago and is undergoing a medical checkup.
“Prof Agbaje has just been released about a few hours ago. He is okay and undergoing medical checkup”
Recall that, The Pendulum Media had reported the sudden abduction of Prof. Agbaje among others, by kidnappers who demanded a whopping sum of #50 million for his release while on his way to Ibadan at about 6:00 pm on Friday, around Sat Guru Maharaji Garden
