260 Students Benefit from Seyi Adisa Leadership Program

Oyo Lawmaker, Seyi Adisa has unveiled the second batch of students who are beneficiaries of his free leadership program called John Maxwell Youth leadership.

The program themed “I Lead” is one of the lawmaker’s development initiatives (SADI) which has now graduated over 260 kids from all seventeen secondary schools in the Afijio state constituency of Oyo state.

Seyi Adisa Developmental Initiative (SADI) is an intensive eight-week training program, where the beneficiaries were guided through sixteen leadership ideals by John Maxwell’s certified leadership coaches.

In his speech, he mentioned that leadership is about exhibiting good character and quality values. And also claimed that the initiative had been successfully tested in Mexico, Paraguay, and other South American nations with comparable social vices and challenges as Nigeria.

Hon Seyi Adisa noted at the graduation ceremony in Afijio, Oyo town, that the initiative’s goal is to develop a young generation that is disciplined, value-based, and impactful for them to become better leaders

“They’ve been able to identify that they are leaders and there are certain values they need to inculcate in their way of life, so that in the choices they make, taking up responsibilities, they would have positive attitudes, self-discipline, self-worth, forgiveness. These are all examples of values that are important to human life and these are all the values they’ve all gone through” He said

In the program which was well attended by more than 550 secondary school students, the convener, Hon Seyi Adisa, thereby asked the younger generation to set an example for others in their leadership style

John Maxwell Life coach, Mr. Olusoji Oyawoye of Lagos gave a speech to the group and urged the youngsters to have a good outlook on life, be dedicated, responsible, and be self-disciplined.

Local Inspector of Education, L.I.E, Afijio local government, Mr. Salami, a representative of the state Ministry of Education, also praised Hon. Seyi Adisa for the good works, calling them unusual among politicians.

The highlight of the graduation ceremony was the presentation of certificates to students and light entertainment by a Nigerian artist, “Gaise Baba”.
