2023: NPC Launches E-Platform, Sets to Recruit Adhoc Personnel
The National Population Commission (NPC) has formally started its e-recruitment platform to hire ad hoc personnel for the 2023 census.
Inuwa Jalingo, the census manager, stated this on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Abuja.
The commission is expected to receive approximately 25 million applications for more than one million positions that are offered, so the procedure must be competitive, reliable, and transparent.
“The use of the e-Recruitment approach is to enable widespread applications from all across the country, remove bias, and ensure that all qualified Nigerians are given equal opportunities to apply, be recruited, and ensure that no one is left behind,” he said.
Supervisors, enumerators, monitoring and evaluation officers, data quality managers, data quality assistants, and special workforce were among the categories of workers that are required for hire according to Jalingo.
He stated that The National Identification Number, a valid functional Gmail account, a valid functional phone number, and a valid and functional/operational commercial bank account (no student/NYSC account) are the fundamental conditions for the application.
Jalingo also noted that valid referees should have access to and knowledge of using computers, tablets, and smartphones; Educational qualifications are also a plus. He added.
“The launching of the online E-recruitment portal for the 2023 census at the headquarters marks the beginning of the online recruitment process whereby Nigerians from all demography and gender can hook on to the website that will be provided by the Commission to fill the online form and get themselves registered to be recruited.”
