2023 Elections: INEC Declares Winner of Oyo Central Senatorial District Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Oyo has declared Dr. Yunus Akintunde, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the Oyo Central Senatorial District Election held on Saturday.
Dr. Akintunde an indigene of Oyo town reportedly defeated the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Candidate, Chief Bisi Ilaka, Accord Candidate, Engineer Dotun Nurudeen Faozey, and other candidates.
According to InsideOyo.com, Professor Adeniyi Olatubosun who announced the election results said Dr. Yunus Akintunde of APC polled 108,776 votes, Chief Bisi llaka of PDP has 101,213 votes, and Engineer Nurudeen Faozey of Accord garnered 41,743 votes.
