131 Women Fill Political Positions in Niger

Spokesperson to Niger State Governor, Mr Bologi Ibrahim has mentioned that a total of 131 women have been appointed to various political positions in the state.
He stated this while the State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulated the appointees, calling on them to be dedicated and contribute their quota to the success of his administration’s policy thrusts.
Mr. Ibrahim said in a statement that 90 of the women would serve as Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and the remaining 41 as coordinators noting a fulfillment of the governor’s campaign promises to allow women to contribute to the building of the state.
“Following the appointment of these great women into his government, it’s on record that the Niger state government is one of the states that has appointed a large number of female aides into his government,”
